Last producer to work with Nipsey shot dead in LA. Unfortunately, Andre Wakefield aka DJ Official was killed in a drive by on June 14. Wakefield was good friends with DJ Mustard who worked with Nipsey as well.
Wakefield was a Grammy award winning producer
Family and friends of Wakefield are baffled. Who would want to kill him? Wakefield produced some of the hottest names in the music industry. Names like, Chris Brown, Cardi B, YG, City Girls and Rich The Kid. Also, Wakefield was one of the last producers to work with the late great Nipsey Hussle, according to Vibe. It is so ironic that Wakefield would meet the same fate as Nipsey. Wakefield’s grandfather told NBC Los Angeles, ” all he did was go to work and come home, “He didn’t belong to a gang or nothing like that.” One of Wakefield’s best friends producer DJ Mustard posted and emotional message on IG:
” I’m beyond hurt. I’m devastated. I’m sick to my stomach,’ he wrote. “Love you lil bro forever @prodbyofficial… I got your son 4 life this ain’t how it was suppose to go.”
And, Ty Dolla echoed what DJ Mustard said on his IG:
“How the f**k they gon’ take @prodbyofficial? Who the f**k was mad at my bro? A father, a successful producer, a solid homie who meant a lot to all of us. U n**gas is some real life jealous a** b**ches out here. We has so much fun on this tour and every time I ran into u it was love and good vibes. LONG LIVE OFFICIAL.”
The details of the shooting are not known at this time, however, witnesses saw a black sedan leaving the scene of the crime. What a tragedy. Another young brother cut down in his prime. When will these senseless killings end.
Weeks ago, Joe Budden and Cyn Santana’s breakup was revealed. Rumor has it Joe actually wasn’t faithful. With the relationship ending the way it did, Cyn may have been turned off by marriage completely. “Love And Hip Hop New York” stars Cyn and Joe have broken up. This was suspected after Cyn unfollowed Joe on social media. Not too long after, it was said Joe may have been unfaithful. He addressed the situation on his podcast. Joe stated that an official breakup didn’t happen. Instead, Cyn got angry with him. Then she proceeded to move out of their place. She stopped taking his calls and turned off her phone. Regardless, Cyn has moved on. But it’s clear that she’s still not over how things went down. In fact, after a follower tried to be flirty, she revealed where she stands on marriage now. And it seems as if she’s over it.

A few weeks ago, a brief fragment of his original verse surfaced, in which Yeezy appeared to be delivering a message to J. Cole. “You heard Cole on that song He was tryna hate,” rapped Yeezy, alluding to Cole’s “False Prophets” single. Now, a full version of Ye’s OG verse has surfaced, which resolves the Cole cliffhanger (his presence lives and dies with that single line) while revealing yet another target – Drake. Consider that Kanye and Pusha likely recorded this one during the Surgical Summer sessions, which ultimately climaxed in a full-fledged war. Interestingly enough, Ye’s shots at Drake would have been prior to hearing “Duppy,” which reveals the extent of the behind-the-scenes animosity between both men.
While the illicit version currently making the rounds will not be posted here (you can check it out on Complex right here), some of the lyrics can be read as follows: “We got cribs on the block too, Drizzy wearing Yeezy on the low though / Only repping Nike for promo.” Given that this beef ultimately exploded in a bout of nastiness, Kanye’s shots feel tame by comparison. Yet the mere fact he decided to give Drake a few lines speaks to his mindset around that time, which is to say, uncharacteristically combative. It would appear the title “What Would Meek Do?” truly does operate on multiple levels.
Mr. Dope Chef What’s The Word – C Glizzy, 16-Year-Old Rapper & XXXTentacion’s Friend, Shot In The Head: Report
C Glizzy is expected to survive the gunshot wound to the head.
C Glizzy was affiliated with XXXTentacion, looking up to the rapper and posting several videos of them dancing together. As you are surely aware, X was killed in an armed robbery one year ago this month after stopping by a motorsports store in Florida. It has not been confirmed what the motive behind Glizzy’s shooting was but the details are eerily similar. Glizzy was leaving a store in Pompano Beach on June 15 when he was reportedly targeted by the shooter who opened fire and struck his head.
Keep C Glizzy and his family in your prayers today. Sixteen is far too young to lose your life and we’re sincerely hoping he can make it through and continue his music career.
Doctors removed a bullet from the head of 16-year-old rapper CGlizzy during surgery at Broward Health North, according to his mother. @browardsheriff is searching for the assailant. CGlizzy was friends with XXXTentacion, who was fatally shot during an armed robbery last year.
UPDATE: @CGlizzyofficial’s mom tells me he is heavily sedated and not talking right now, but she is expecting and hoping that he’ll survive the gunshot wound he sustained to the head. Someone opened fire on him as he was leaving a store on MLK Blvd. in Pompano Beach yesterday.
